Marlene Gundlach is an expert in education, having taught multiple age levels during her teaching tenure. Her experience ranges from preschool-aged children, where she served as a director of a preschool, through various high school subjects. She has worked as a teacher and tutor for over 17 years, striving to improve the quality of education for her students. She recently returned to teaching as a substitute teacher in the district where her two young boys attend school, and she enjoys being back in the classroom. Balancing teaching and freelance writing is always a struggle, and it is something she feels passionate about. Moms can have it all!

After leaving teaching to raise her young boys, Marlene focused on her writing career. She began writing and editing for textbook companies to help maintain a connection with the education community. She has now moved into the online world, writing content for websites. Marlene writes for Bright Hub and contributes to the K-12 Learning Channel, Special Education, Home Office, and Project Management.

As a long-time sufferer of fibromyalgia, she also writes about her condition, and she is always looking to get the word out about new research and treatment options. Her site Fibromyalgia Advice is an informative site about the debilitating condition and includes a blog that chronicles her battle to live a normal, pain-free life.
